Vision and visual arts - seems like a perfect combination for an optical shop. Throughout the space you will see local artists' work on display. The artwork changes every two months, keeping the shop fresh and visually stimulating.

Chris Pailas - Homage to Contemporary Portraiture

Chris’s work displays his progression throughout getting into photography as a college student.

Each photograph is taken with intent for the desired look, where some include off camera flash for softer light. This was something the student wanted to learn more about after lots of work photographing with natural light.

Some of these professional techniques take us back to elementary or middle school art class when examining a sphere with highlights and shadows – now applied to the idea of light falloff.

Through events, workshops, and individual sessions, Chris has found a growing niche – portrait photography.
